ClipClone is a cloud service for making unique versions of videos in batches. You upload a clip, the service turns it into up to 1,000 versions that differ in picture, sound and file data, and automatically checks how each version differs from the source and from the other versions. Processing runs on ClipClone's servers, so all you need is a browser.
What is ClipClone?
ClipClone (clipclone.app) is a service for people who need one clip in many posts. It replaces manual work in a video editor: instead of editing each version separately, you get a batch of different copies in one run, and each copy carries a check mark. Support replies in Russian.

Who is ClipClone for?
ClipClone suits SMM specialists, agencies and creators who need to publish the same clip many times: on several accounts, on different platforms, on the social media pages of branches or partners. The service saves editing time; it doesn't replace shooting: the clip stays yours.
- SMM specialists — a separate version of a clip for each of a client's accounts, without manual editing.
- Agencies — hundreds of versions for different clients and platforms in one run.
- Brands and creators — a supply of versions of a successful clip for regular posting.
How does ClipClone work?
It takes five steps: upload videos, choose the number of copies, choose a preset, processing on the server, and download. Everything happens in the browser, and once the files have uploaded you can close the page — processing continues on the server.
- Upload your videos. Up to 10 clips per run: MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM, M4V or a ZIP archive, up to 2 GB per upload.
- Set the number of copies — from 1 to 1,000 of each clip. Before you start, you see how many minutes this will take.
- Choose a preset — “Standard”, “Optimal”, “Strong” or “Strong + vertical”. If you're not sure, leave “Optimal”.
- Start processing. The progress is shown on the project page.
- Download the copies. All unique copies as one ZIP archive, or only the ones you select; any copy can be compared with the source.
Step-by-step instructions, compared with manual editing, are in the guide “How to make many versions of one video”.
What changes in the copies?
In each copy the frame, color, speed, sound and file data change — at random, within the limits set by the preset. The storyline, on-screen text, voice and music stay the same: viewers see the same clip, while the files are different and differ from each other.
| What changes | How |
|---|---|
| Frame | cropped edges, scale, micro-rotation, slight frame movement |
| Color and noise | color correction, noise texture; in the “Strong” presets — a color filter and animation over the frame |
| Speed | clip tempo, variable speed |
| Sound | pitch within ±1.5% or tempo without distortion, depending on the preset |
| File data | metadata, encoding parameters, file hash |
| Format | in the “Strong + vertical” preset, the copy is extended to 9:16 with a random background |
How the four presets differ and when to choose which is explained in the guide “Presets for unique video versions”.
How are the differences between copies checked?
After it is rendered, each copy is compared with the source and with 100 neighboring copies in the project. The service measures frame similarity (SSIM), digital frame fingerprints (pHash, dHash and PDQ) and picture quality (PSNR). A copy that misses even one threshold gets a mark and is left out of the archive of unique copies; the service makes a replacement for free.
| Condition in the “Optimal” preset | Threshold |
|---|---|
| Similarity to the source, SSIM | no higher than 0.88 |
| Similarity to a neighboring copy, SSIM | no higher than 0.92 |
| Difference from the source, pHash and dHash | at least 8 of 64 |
| Difference from the source, PDQ | at least 55 of 256 |
| Difference from neighboring copies, pHash / dHash / PDQ | at least 5 / 6 / 35 |
| Picture quality, PSNR | no lower than 12 dB |
On a real 5.7-second clip, all four copies made with the “Optimal” preset passed the check: SSIM against the source from 0.63 to 0.66, pHash difference from 8 to 10 of 64. You can watch these copies next to the source on the home page. What each number means is in the metrics glossary; how to read the report is in the guide “How to check that video copies are different”.
What are the limits and plans?
You pay for output minutes — the total length of all copies created. To try the service, you get 5 free minutes once after your first login; paid plans start at 2,990 ₽ per month for 750 minutes. All plans have the same features: they differ in minutes and the number of videos processed at once.

- There is no online payment on the site yet: Support activates your plan.
All prices and the rules for counting minutes are on the “ClipClone pricing” page.
What does ClipClone not do or promise?
ClipClone makes and checks copies; you publish them yourself. The service doesn't guarantee reach or views: the platform decides what to show in the feed, and the clip itself still has the biggest effect on views. The check measures how the copies differ, but it doesn't predict the platforms' decisions.
- No guarantee of views. The platforms themselves decide how clips are picked for recommendations. What they say about duplicates is covered in the guide “Unique video versions for Reels, Shorts, TikTok and VK Clips”.
- Doesn't change the content. The storyline, on-screen text, voice and music stay the same.
- Doesn't publish clips. The service has no automatic publishing and doesn't connect social media accounts.
- Doesn't give rights to other people's content. Upload only videos you have the rights to: your own, a client's under a contract, or licensed ones.
- Not a team tool. There are no shared workspaces: one account — one user.
- No API, mobile app or export to cloud storage. The service works in the browser; copies are downloaded as an archive or one by one.
